Artifacts


Bits of clay pipes are often found. Mostly they are just short pieces of stem but occasionally a bowl is unearthed. The pieces below are courtesy of Jan Sutton.


A contemporary clay pipe bought in 2016.
Another item of interest is a small bottle, unfortunately part broken. Research on the net suggests it originates around 1875. The complete item is an original found elsewhere.
On the front is the star of David and MO. Its believed to be a Jewish bottle holding oil from a temple or synagogue. If anyone can give further information please contact me.
