Funded by s106 compensation for destruction of allotments elsewhere on the Estate and the installation by Severn Trent of the massive storage tank on the valley allotments.
The area will include an allotment store/small meeting room, raised beds with disabled access, vehicle parking area and large greenhouse.
Stage 2 will be the restoration of the adjacent main builders yard which will provide additional teaching space/meeting room, storage and courtyard for social events.
The greenhouse was acquired from Bournville College on the Bristol Road prior to its demolition and is sufficiently large to accomodate a half class.
