Ye Olde Englishe Festival, Harborne Tenants 1909

The pictures are of the Harborne tenants May Day Festival 1909.

The group are pictured behind a house and not the Hall which was not built at this time. Its likely to be the rear of the temporary 'institute' which was 2 houses at the end of Moor Pool Avenue on the Park Hill Road side by the Moor Pool Tennis courts which had a connecting door between them so that they could be used as the Estate building.

The events would then have taken place almost opposite on the original bowling green which is now being restored as the community garden.

Do you know of any of the people who were there or more information?

The group above (and below) are pictured in front of the middle house on the left. This view is of the rear garden taken from the Park Hill Road end of Moor Pool Avenue close to where the sod cutting took place.
