Margaret Grove Street Party 1989 - Moor Pool History

For the 1989 celebration of Birmingham becoming a City, friends and neighbours in Margaret Grove organised a street party. The road was closed and bunting put up across the road and between the trees in the area between about 64 and 70 Margaret Grove. A Magician was hired who set up in the middle of the road.

Where you involved in organising?  Do you know of any of the people who were there?

The red and white bunting was made from a roll of scarlet paper which was cut to shape and fixed to some thick sisal string. We kept it for a while for other events and still have the string. Jan Sutton
