Moor Pool Residents Association

The residents association was reformed in the 1980s. Believed originally to be the Moor Pool Council when the Estate was first built, the residents association has been at the forefront of community activities and in recent years protecting the estate and advocating its conservation.

The website contains information on events, guidance documents, historical information, pictures and links to editions of the Moor Pool Duck newsletter. The Duck is delivered free of charge to all properties on the Estate and is a great source of information for Estate news and forthcoming events.

The Association through its Moor Pool in Bloom committee was responsible for the planting of the numerous daffodil bulbs which form a tremendous display in the Spring.

Events put on the the Association include:-

The Moor Pool Festival in September which is part of Heritage Open Days and an opportunity to showcase Moor Pools many historical features.

The Carol Walk in December when residents meet in the Hall and then proceed on a mass walk of the Estate stopping to sing carols at various points.

In the past other events have been held including dances, easter egg hunts and a scarecrow competition.
