Park Hill Road

Park Hill Road is where the first houses were built. The sod cutting took place at the rear of them. This picture is taken from the other side of Park Hill Road. Interestingly in this picture the front gardens have iron field fencing. As there are no gaps in the fencing there was presumably a path which ran up the length of the houses for access.

The view on the right is the rear of the houses whilst still under construction at the time of the sod cutting.
