People and Places - Memories

I think I know where this picture came from so hopefully there is a story to follow. I believe its Moor Pool Avenue.

This is Edna Lilleman receiving a prize at the Moor Pool Tennis Club. Over at the back is the gate into Moor Pool Avenue.
This is taken in 1960 at the 50th anniversary of the tennis club.

Any more information?
Christine Brueton then now Goodall.

I'm standing outside 20 Carless Avenue wearing my first school uniform.

This is my first bike outside 20 Carless Avenue in about 1948. All the houses had hedges and were painted cream and green.

I'm wearing my coronation fancy dress in the garden of 20 Carless and No I did not win!

The wedding reception of Mr Compton Brierley and Miss Vera Dorothy Harrison at the Moor Pool Hall on September 3rd 1931.

The couple and group are probably pictured by the old right hand door to the Estate Office.
This is Mr and Mrs Strudwick of 4 Wentworth Gate. Mr Strudwick was a very keen gardener. The picture is taken in the 60's courtesy Tina Hackett
On the left dressed in green is Nurse Greening. Do you know the other lady. Nurse Greenings daughter was Pat Greening who lived at 14 Wentworth Gate.

A rare view of the allotments at the rear of 18 Moor Pool Avenue before Grainger plc applied for planning permission and they were built on.

On the right is the view from the back door of 18 Moor Pool Avenue looking towards the allotments. The Houses in the distance are Margaret Grove.

This picture of Tina Hackett is taken in the garden of 6 Wentworth Gate looking up towards the allotments. The houses in the distance are The Square.

Another picture courtesy Tina Hackett featuring No 1 Moor Pool Avenue.
